Ashley Scott has been teaching and directing Music Together® classes in McLean, Arlington, Falls Church and Washington DC since 1996. Throughout her career, she has brought the joy of music making to thousands of children in area schools, day care centers, and community centers- all of whom cheer, "Miss Ashley!" when they see her walk into the classroom with her guitar. She has also mentored and managed dozens of talented Music Together teachers. Ashley holds an M.A. degree in music therapy from New York University, and a B.S. degree in psychology from the University of Mary Washington.
When she's not teaching infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and their families how to love music, Ashley conducts a private practice in music therapy in Arlington, Virginia, where she treats children with developmental delays, specializing in those on the autism spectrum. She spends any of her free time walking her chocolate Labrador, cooking for her husband and college-aged sons, and volunteering in many musical capacities at her church, including the adult choir, children's choir, Children's Chapel, and Vacation Bible School.
